Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center - Clemson University

The Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Recreation Center is Clemson University’s first mass timber facility and one of the first buildings in the U.S. to use CLT made from southern yellow pine. The project features CLT floors, roof, and shear walls, as well as glulam beams and steel columns. The center provides space to run the rental and instructional aspects of Clemson’s outdoor recreational services. It is designed to be net-zero ready; with the installation of PV on its roofs, the facility will produce enough energy to offset its needs.
